Catherine Jo’s passion for the Lord and prayer began in early childhood. Even as a toddler, she spoke openly about Jesus and longed to be with Him—an intensity of faith that revealed a deep, sincere love for Christ, whom she has always known as her closest friend. Around the age of nine, Catherine began praying for a younger sister, and God soon answered that prayer, solidifying her belief in the power and intimacy of prayer. From that point on, praying for others became a regular part of her life.
During college, Catherine’s prayer life continued to grow as she
traveled to China, engaged with diverse campus ministries, and
studied spiritual warfare. After graduation, she joined a young women’s Bible study, where she received consistent mentorship in prayer and participated in early morning intercession at her church.
In 2012, Catherine moved to China, believing she would spend her
life sharing the gospel there. During nearly three years of service, she gained profound insight into prayer and spiritual warfare. In 2015, the Lord unexpectedly called her back to the United States—a decision that initially made little sense but later revealed God’s purpose in positioning her to pray and intercede for her nation.
Catherine is deeply passionate about prayer for individuals, people groups, and nations, and she has witnessed firsthand the remarkable ways God moves through faithful intercession. While she holds numerous accomplishments—including a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and a Master of Business Administration, —she considers none of this equal to the joy of knowing Jesus.
